YOGA/BREATHWORK/MEDITATION - We will enjoy yoga in nature on a wooden deck surrounded by a lush garden during our time in Waiheke and at the Waitakeres weโll have a spacious studio for our practices. Each day weโll offer a mix of yoga styles from a more active vinyasa-style yang practice to start our day to a relaxing and deep yin practice as the sun sets.
We may pretend otherwise but everything will revolve around food.
In Waiheke we will have two delicious, vegetarian meals per day and youโll have your lunch break free to explore the local culinary scene, from cafes to wineries.
In the Waitakere Ranges weโll have three vegetarian meals a day (and some sweet treats), made with locally sourced ingredients from plant-based chef and cookbook author @TheRecklessFoodie.

FACILITIES - In Waiheke weโll enjoy contrast therapy, alternating time in the sauna with time in an ice bath. Not a fan of the cold? This is your time. All activities are optional.
In the Waitakere Ranges weโll have a sauna and a spa pool under the stars. We can also take nature dips in the river that runs through the grounds.
DAILY โMEโ TIME - Take a walk. Read and relax in the garden. Swim at the beach or in the river.
For those who want to get out and about, there is so much to do on Waiheke - from hikes to vineyard tours, or you can stroll the cute nearby main street exploring cafes and art galleries. In the Waitakere Ranges there are an abundance of hikes ranging from ten minutes to 90 minutes (Cascade Kauri Park) all accessible from our private sanctuary.
Self-nurturing is also universally encouraged, with holistic treatments and massages.
Or do nothing at all.

Carmela Fleuryโis a Wayfinder Master Coach, a Certified Holistic Health Coach, a Yin Yoga teacher, and a Psychosomatic facilitator-in-training. She loves leading retreats worldwide. This, along with avoiding laundry, has been her specialty since 2011.

Karryn Millerโ has been teaching yoga all over the world for nearly two decades. She has completed multiple Hatha and Vinyasa yoga teacher trainings. She is a certified Reiki practitioner, Yoga Nidra teacher and a Wim Hoff fan. Sheโs likely going to be the one trying to convince you to hop in the ice tub.

Getting to the Retreat Location

The nearest airport is Auckland International Airport. The ferry to Waiheke Island is from downtown Auckland, about 30-45 minutes from the airport. Karryn can answer any questions about transfers to the ferry terminal and can help arrange transport from the Waitakereโs to the airport

Taking time for yourself is not selfish. We all need time to rest and recharge and to reconnect with ourselves. We canโt fill from an empty cup. Trying to do so makes us more tired and resentful and definitely not the sparkly version of ourselves that we want to be. Take time for you. You deserve it and nobody is going to give you permission to do so until you give yourself permission.
